Job summary

JP Management LLC seeks an experienced Live-In Superintendent to oversee daily operations of an apartment community in Elizabeth, NJ. The role is full‑time and onsite, offering a competitive salary, benefits, and a spacious apartment.

You will respond to tenant work orders, perform routine and preventative maintenance, and coordinate turnovers with outside contractors. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in property maintenance, own tools, and a valid driver’s license, with availability weekdays

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in property maintenance or related roles.
• Available to be on calls during weekdays and weekends to respond to emergencies.
• Must have own tools and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests from management and tenants, including appliance repairs and basic plumbing/electrical work.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across building systems.
• Coordinate apartment turnovers with outside contractors.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks safely for residents and staff.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program to minimize urgent repairs and outsourcing.
