Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent for a 250-unit residential property in Bayonne, NJ. This live-in role covers interior and exterior inspections, preventive maintenance, and common area/apartment repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

The position requires a high school diploma, five+ years of multifamily maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license; Fire Safety and Boiler License are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five+ years of residential multifamily property management or apartment maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license; Fire Safety and Boiler License desired.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders efficiently.
• Communicate delays to supervisor and management office.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry issues.
• Assist property manager with annual inspections and move-in/move-out inspections.
• Ensure turnover repairs are completed on schedule.
• Maintain records for preventative maintenance and manage contracts.
