Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead day-part prep and production at our rural summer camps across the US. This on-site, live-in role combines hands-on culinary leadership with allergen safety and staff supervision.

You’ll manage kitchen operations, ensure scratch cooking, maintain quality, and support camp leadership in delivering nourishing meals for campers while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, recipe execution, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods in hot/cold kitchen settings; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and endure 6-day/70-hour weeks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administer inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
