Job summary

University Center in Chicago offers a summer Guest Service Intern program from mid-May through mid-August. The intern will rotate between Guest Service Agent, Guest Room Attendant, and Shift Supervisor, working closely with the housing and sales departments to deliver exceptional service.

The internship requires a 3-month commitment and 40 hours per week, and includes live-on-site housing in a furnished apartment with utilities and a meal plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Office and learn new software systems.
• Experience in hospitality and/or management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor front desk operations and guest services.
• Learn and master internal software and badging systems.
• Check-in and check-out guests and manage guest ledgers.
• Answer guest phone calls and accommodate onsite requests.
• Respond to emails and maintain daily communications.
• Rotate into Shift Supervisor duties weekly and oversee staff as needed.
