Milton Hershey School (MHS) is recruiting married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and mentor a group of 8-13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for their academic, emotional, and social development.

The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living arrangement. The position includes housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-spouse role for couples married at least two years
• Both spouses age 27 or older
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism

Responsabilités

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
