Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8-13 students living in the home.

Flex Houseparents start in multiple homes and follow a nine-days-on / three-days-off schedule. These roles include responsibility for supervision, routines, medications, pastoral devotions, and budgeting, with benefits including housing, meals on

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning/developing activities with students
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting

Skills

Experience with youth

Two-person couple

Age 27+ for both spouses

U.S. driver's license

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Willing to lead devotions

Education

High school diploma or GED
