Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. This on-site, live-in position oversees all prep and production for a day part, staffing, and allergen safety in a high-volume setting.

Expect a minimum 6-day/70-hour week with competitive seasonal pay plus a bonus structure. Full room and board are provided for the contract duration, along with travel allowance. Must live on-site and manage a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date (company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, ingredient versatility, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day parts; ensure timely meal service.
• Manage allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and sanitary standards.
• Handle inventory management and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
