Job summary

Wolfoods Food Services seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead a high-volume camp kitchen on-site at rural summer camps across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for a day part, manage staff, and ensure strict allergen safety.

This live-in seasonal role runs May–Sept, six days per week with a 70-hour minimum. Competitive pay, bonus, free room & board, and travel allowance are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, scratch baking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
