Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our on-site camp kitchen during a fast-paced summer season. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and stringent allergen safety at a top-tier summer camp.

The live-in, on-site position requires a strong leader capable of managing high-volume service, strict sanitation, and diverse dietary needs across rural Summer Camp facilities in the United States.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (Allergens knowledge required).

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Manage food allergy protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, track daily reporting.
• Serve as the main liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods office.
