Job summary

AEG is seeking an on-site Event Support Technician to support Crypto.com Arena, Peacock Theater, and LA Live Campus. You will set up, troubleshoot, and tear down IT and telecom equipment for events, ensuring clean cabling, proper connectivity, and timely readiness.

The role requires hands-on experience with TCP/IP networks, Xbox/Windows and Mac/iOS devices, and a customer-focused approach. Join a team delivering memorable live experiences in a fast-paced venue environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years related work experience.
2+ years experience in supporting TCP/IP data networks and network infrastructure.
2+ years experience in supporting Microsoft XP/Vista/7, Mac OS & iOS devices.
Knowledge of good customer support practices.

Responsibilities

Follow detailed instructions for equipment set-up and meet set-up timelines.
Place and set up network equipment indoors/outdoors; troubleshoot and test wired and Wi‑Fi connectivity.
Handle event phone placement and recover equipment after events.
Verify dial tone test numbers and match documentation to breakout boxes and jacks.
Assist with troubleshooting suite scanners as needed.
Make custom-length CAT5e network cables in the field using RJ45 connectors and crimping tools; coordinate with Network Team to activate ports on VLANs.
Extend CAT5e Ethernet cables and secure with gaffer’s tape per venue requirements.
Maintain record of activated wall jacks and network switch ports.
Assist with adds, moves, and changes on phones when needed.
Pull cables when necessary.
