Job summary

AEG Worldwide is seeking an Event Support Technician to provide on-site IT and telecom support for Crypto.com Arena, Peacock Theater, and LA Live Campus. You will handle setup, teardown, and troubleshooting of venue technology, ensuring timely, accurate configurations for each event.

The role requires hands-on networking, cable fabrication, documentation, and coordination with the Network Team. Evening/weekend availability and physical mobility are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience in TCP/IP networks and infrastructure.
• 2+ years in supporting Windows/Mac/iOS devices.
• Strong customer service and incident reporting.
• Knowledge of patch panels, fiber, switches, and wireless gear.
• CCNA or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, and troubleshoot event technology and IT needs.
• Test connectivity (wired and wireless) and verify network paths.
• Handle event phone placement and equipment recovery after events.
• Document active wall jacks and ports; coordinate with Network Team.
• Assist with adds, moves, and changes to phones as needed.
• Crimp custom CAT5e cables and route through venue as required.

Job Summary:

Event Support Technician will be on-site supporting events at Crypto.com Arena, the Peacock Theater, and LA Live Campus. The technician will be responsible for set-up, tear-down, and troubleshooting of all technology (IT & Telecomm) needs.

Essential Functions:

• Follow detailed instructions as it pertains to the set-up of equipment and work independently while meeting all set-up timelines/deadlines. Must verify all set-ups are accurate according to request.
• Handle physical tasks indoors/outdoors involving placement and setup of network equipment. Troubleshoot & test connectivity (wired & Wi-Fi) as necessary.
• Responsible for event phone placement and recovery of equipment after event.
• Verify dial tone test numbers accordingly and match documentation to breakout boxes and jacks for placement according to set-up request.
• Assist with troubleshooting suite scanners as needed.
• Make custom-length CAT5e network cables in the field using RJ45 connectors and crimping tools. Coordinate with Network Team to activate Ethernet ports on required VLAN's through patch panels and respective network switches.
• Extend CAT5e Ethernet cable and secure with gaffer's tape according to specific venue requirements/floor plan instructions as directed.
• Maintain record of activated wall jacks and network switch ports.
• Assist with adds, moves, and changes on phones when needed.
• Pull cable when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
• A minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting TCP/IP data networks and network infrastructure.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in support Microsoft XP/Vista/7, Mac OS & iOS Devices.
• Knowledge of good customer support practices and procedures.
• Network infrastructure knowledge: Patch panels, fiber, switches, SOHO routers, wireless networking devices, Ethernet extenders, cable testers, etc.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all clients/end users.
• Ability to compose detailed incident reports.
• Punctual in accordance with event schedule or directives.
• Good network troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to successfully connect devices to the network (wired & Wi-Fi).
• Ability to support Cisco Stadium Vision IPTV devices: Digital Media Players, Tablets, and IP Phones.
• Ability to safely lift at least 50 lbs.unassisted in the course of equipment move and setup.
• Ability to be mobile, kneel down, bend, crawl, and go up steps/ladders.
• CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Technician
• A+/ Network + and\or CCNA certification is a plus
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Payscale:

$24.85 - $31.67
