Job summary

Oak View Group in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a personable Bartender to deliver friendly, efficient service at events. The role is part-time, with an hourly rate of $12.00–$13.00 and tip eligibility.

You will follow bar menus, handle cash accurately, and work nights and weekends as needed. This position offers a 401(k) plan with matching and opportunities to contribute to a busy, dynamic hospitality team. The role will remain open until November 6, 2026.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Bartending school preferred.
• Accurate cash handling skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
• Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available and being able to upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
• Check the guest's ID to verify minimum age for alcohol.
• Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• Bartenders may de-escalate intoxicated guest situations and contact management or security as required.
• Request additional products or restock as needed.
• Responsible for the issued bank at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and keep bar equipment clean.
• Other duties as assigned, including setup/breakdown and organizing the cooler.
