Oak View Group in Palm Springs, CA seeks a personable Bartender to serve beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in a fast-paced environment. The role requires excellent attendance and availability for events as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Bartending school preferred.
• Accurate cash handling skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
• Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits and upsell to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
• Check IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchases.
• Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations; contact management or security if needed.
• Contact a management member if unable to resolve or decide beyond standard scope.
• Request additional products or restock as needed.
• Responsible for issuing bank at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation; keep bar equipment clean and maintained.
• Other duties may include setting up/breaking down bar equipment and assisting with cooler organization.
