Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a personable Bartender to serve beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in a fast-paced live entertainment setting at our venues. Must be reliable, professional, and able to work events as scheduled.

The role pays $13.00–$14.00 per hour and is eligible for tips; part-time benefits include a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Availability nights and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Bartending school preferred.
• Accurate cash handling skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
• Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits and upselling to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
• Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase.
• Communicate cut-off to guests as required.
• Respond to customer requests or concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations; involve management/security as needed.
• Maintain issued bank and a clean, sanitary workstation.
