Job summary

Jobot seeks a Permanent Litigation Paralegal with a strong Personal Injury focus to join our Durham, NC team on-site. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience and a paralegal certificate, with superb organizational and research skills.

You will draft pleadings, manage case files, coordinate medical records, and support attorneys through depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a litigation paralegal with a focus on personal injury.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent degree.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and legal research.
• Excellent organizational skills for handling multiple cases and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. 1. Managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
2. 2. Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
3. 3. Conducting legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
4. 4. Coordinating and managing medical records, bills, and lien reductions.

Qualifications:

1. 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on personal injury cases.
2. 2. A paralegal certificate or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
3. 3. Proficiency in legal research, with a strong understanding of personal injury law and civil procedure.
4. 4. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines concurrently.
5. 5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients, attorneys, and others.
6. 6. Proficiency in the use of legal software and technology, including case management software, e-discovery platforms, and legal research tools.
7. 7. A proactive and independent work ethic, with the ability to take initiative and work well under pressure.
8. 8. A commitment to providing exceptional client service, with the ability to empathize with clients and advocate for their interests.
