Job summary

Farm Family is seeking a highly capable Litigation Manager to lead a seven-person claims team from our Omaha, NE office. You will supervise litigated claims across construction defect, farm, ranch, and agriculture exposures, ensuring timely resolutions within approved authority and company guidelines.

The role requires seven years in complex coverage analysis and litigation management, a Bachelor's degree (JD preferred), and strong leadership with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in complex coverage analysis and adjudication of litigated claims across multiple lines.
• Bachelor's degree required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and ability to develop talent; excellent customer service focus.
• Proficiency in English reading/writing; ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of seven claims specialists adjudicating litigated claims across multiple lines.
• Develop cost-effective litigation management strategies with outside counsel.
• Manage appeals and Department of Insurance inquiries and complaints.
• Budget for legal fees and track performance metrics to meet department goals.
• Ensure lawsuits close within settlement authority and company guidelines.
• Mentor and develop claims professionals and participate in hiring decisions.
• Collaborate with General Counsel and Attorneys on lawsuits and dispositions.
