Farm Family in Omaha, NE is seeking a highly capable Litigation Manager to lead seven claims specialists and oversee litigated claims across construction defect, farm, ranch, general liability, and New York Labor Law.

This 100% in-office role reports to the Director of Litigation in New Jersey and emphasizes adherence to best practices, cost-effective litigation management, and timely resolution of lawsuits within authority.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years’ experience in complex coverage analysis and adjudication of litigated claims across multiple lines.
• Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Fluent in English, with polished written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Guidewire ClaimsCenter.
• Experience across construction defect, farm, ranch, and NY Labor Law exposures.
• Ability to manage litigation lifecycle, budgeting and outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Determine exposures for litigated claims.
• Guide cost-effective litigation management strategies with outside counsel.
• Provide direction on claim disposition strategies.
• Negotiate lawsuits to a conclusion.
• Budget for legal fees and monitor expenditures.
• Ensure performance metrics align with department goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop claims professionals.
• Oversee appeals and Department of Insurance inquiries.
