Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP, a nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm, seeks an experienced legal assistant to join our Newark office. This 100% in-office position requires strong teamwork, excellent communication, and ownership of duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years litigation secretarial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of iManage and Outlook is a plus.
• Must successfully pass a background and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Draft and review legal correspondence including proofreading for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
• Prepares and collects conflict of interest checks, opens new files and maintains client files.
• Maintains attorneys’ calendars with important dates.
• Familiar with State and Federal court filings, including submission of electronic filings.
• Organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
