Job summary

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced legal assistant to join our office. This is a 100% in-office position with no remote work available, requiring someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes ownership of their duties.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of litigation secretarial experience, familiarity with federal/state filings, and proficiency with iManage and Outlook.

Qualifications

• 2+ years litigation secretarial experience.
• Civil Litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with federal and state filings.
• Knowledge of iManage and Outlook is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review legal correspondence, proofreading for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
• Open new files, collect conflict checks, and maintain client files.
• Maintain attorneys’ calendars with important dates.
• Familiar with State and Federal court filings, including electronic submissions.
• Organize and prioritize numerous tasks under time constraints with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
