Job summary

Polsinelli PC is seeking a seasoned marketing/business development professional to advance client relationships and brand awareness across our departments in Kansas City. The role supports events, proposals, external submissions, and strategic communications.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in a law firm or professional services marketing, strong project management, and a passion for innovation, including AI applications in professional services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years in marketing and/or business development in a legal or professional services setting.
• Marketing experience in Litigation and/or Labor & Employment strongly encouraged.
• Strong project management skills and ability to own projects from start to finish.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with executives and handle ambiguous or dynamic requests.
• Interest in applying AI within professional services.
• Detail-oriented, organized, professional, innovative, strategic, process-driven, accountable, collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the Departments’ practice groups, attorneys, competition, and client base to inform opportunities to develop client relationships and brand awareness.
• Support the development and execution of business development initiatives, programs, events, and strategies for the Departments and practice groups.
• Support RFP and pitch response strategy and creation of materials, including drafting targeted materials for tailored responses.
• Ensure Department and practice-specific marketing content is compelling, accurate, and up to date.
• Coordinate and support internal and client-facing events with the firm-wide events team.
• Coordinate e-communications including eAlerts and blog posts, and monthly department emails.
• Foster collaboration among lawyers and within the Marketing department to connect the dots across the firm.
• Collaborate with PR to advance profile-raising efforts.
• Coordinate and draft content for external submissions (Chambers, Legal 500, etc.).
• Monitor knowledge/experience management efforts and InterAction data.
• Assist with the marketing budget and expenses.
• Conduct research and competitive analysis of key practices and industries.
• Other duties as assigned.
