Job summary

Regent, a global private holding company, is seeking a Legal Counsel, Litigation to join its in-house legal team in Beverly Hills. You will support litigation across Regent and portfolio companies, manage active disputes, coordinate with outside counsel, and help shape strategy and risk assessment.

The role requires a JD, CA or NY bar admission, 2–5 years of litigation experience, and a proactive, business-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of litigation experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Strong foundation in managing complex litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Clerkship preferred but not required.
• Experience with employment/labor litigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of active litigation and disputes involving Regent and its portfolio companies.
• Partner with the Legal team to develop case strategies and ensure consistent approaches across the portfolio.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for engagement and ongoing management of external partners.
• Monitor case budgets, deadlines, and deliverables aligned with Regent’s objectives.
• Conduct legal research to support pre-litigation strategy and dispute resolution.
• Support internal investigations and responses to demand letters or regulatory inquiries.
• Assist with subpoenas, regulatory exams and investigations in coordination with external counsel.
• Help prepare reporting and documentation for regulatory matters.
• Work with internal teams on litigation-related insurance issues, including claims and coverage.
• Collaborate with portfolio company leadership on litigation-related issues.
• Develop internal processes to enhance litigation readiness and mitigate risk.
• Maintain litigation tracking systems, case files, and reporting for stakeholders.
• Provide updates to senior leaders on key matters.
