Regent, L.P. seeks a Legal Counsel, Restructuring to lead the in-house workstream behind post-acquisition restructuring across its global portfolio. This role partners with portfolio company management, operations teams, and outside counsel worldwide, reporting to firm leadership.

Based in Beverly Hills, CA, this full-time position requires a strong background in restructuring, bankruptcy, or insolvency, and the ability to manage cross-border matters with professionalism and autonomy.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant legal experience in restructuring or insolvency.
• JD required; experience at a top-tier law firm preferred.
• Direct experience with workouts, reorganizations, insolvency proceedings.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house counsel on portfolio company restructuring matters globally.
• Advise management on restructuring-related legal issues and negotiations.
• Coordinate cross-border restructuring with local laws across jurisdictions.
• Manage external counsel across jurisdictions and workstreams.
• Support negotiations with creditors and counterparties during stabilization.
• Track matters and report risks to firm leadership.
• Negotiate and document restructuring-related agreements.
