Regent, a global private holding company, is seeking a Legal Counsel, Litigation to join its in-house legal team in Beverly Hills. You will support litigation across Regent and portfolio companies, manage active disputes, coordinate with outside counsel, and help shape strategy and risk assessment.

The role requires a JD, CA or NY bar admission, 2–5 years of litigation experience, and a proactive, business-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

• 2–5 years of litigation experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Strong foundation in managing complex litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Clerkship preferred but not required.
• Experience with employment/labor litigation is a plus.

• Assist with the management of active litigation and disputes involving Regent and its portfolio companies.
• Partner with the Legal team to develop case strategies and ensure consistent approaches across the portfolio.
• Coordinate with outside counsel for engagement and ongoing management of external partners.
• Monitor case budgets, deadlines, and deliverables aligned with Regent’s objectives.

We are seeking a Legal Counsel, Litigation to join our legal team.This individual will support litigation matters across Regent and its portfolio companies.The role will focus on managing active disputes, coordinating with outside counsel, andassistingwith litigation strategy and risk assessment. This is anin-office position, based in Beverly Hills.

Responsibilities

• Assistwith the management of active litigation and dispute matters involving Regent and itsportfoliocompanies, includingemployment,commercial, regulatory, IP, and class action disputes.
• Partner withour Legal teamto develop case strategies and ensure consistent legal approaches across the portfolio.
• Liaise with outside counsel on litigation matters, supporting theselection, engagement, and ongoing management of external legal partners.
• Monitor case budgets, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure alignment with Regent’sobjectives.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support pre-litigation strategy and dispute resolution efforts.
• Assistwith internal investigations and responses to demand letters or regulatory inquiries.
• Support responses to subpoenas, regulatory exams, and investigations in coordination with external counsel.
• Help prepare required reporting and documentation for regulatory matters.
• Work with internal teams and external advisors on litigation-related insurance issues, including claims and coverage.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California or New York State Bar
• 2-5years of litigation experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Strong foundationin managing complex litigation and disputes across multiplejurisdictions
• Clerkship experience preferred, but notrequired
• Experience with employment/labor litigation is a plus
• Familiarity with corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory frameworks preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Business-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Regent, L.P. includes a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $180,000 to $225,000 per year.
