Job summary

Akerman LLP in Miami seeks a Client Development Manager for the Litigation Practice Group to drive client development, marketing, and communications plans, collaborating with practice group leaders to advance business goals.

You will manage client-specific materials, cross-sell initiatives, and sponsorship opportunities while coordinating events and media placements. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in business development or marketing at AmLaw 100 or professional services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service mindset.
• Experience with Private Equity or Investment Banking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Senior Client Development Manager to develop and implement client development, marketing, and communications plans.
• Meet with practice group leaders on a frequent basis.
• Create and monitor client development programs, including cross-selling initiatives.
• Manage development of client-specific presentations, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses as well as other client-facing materials.
• Manage development of all practice-related collateral for general use in print and on firm website.
• Support senior manager to onboard new laterals joining the practice group.
• Develop story placement ideas for media relations team and identify speaker placement opportunities.
• Track completed matter details and manage practice submissions for directories, databases, and publications as needed.
• Identify opportunities for sponsorships and brand-building opportunities.
• Coordinate practice-related events and sponsorships.
