Akerman LLP is seeking a Client Development Manager for the Litigation Practice Group. The role focuses on implementing client development, marketing, and communications plans and collaborating with practice leaders to advance the firm's business goals.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in a similar role at a major firm, with strong communication, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of experience in a business development or marketing role, preferably with an AmLaw 100 or professional services firm.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels across the firm and to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Experience with Private Equity and Investment Banking industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement client development, marketing, and communications plans.
• Meet with practice group leaders on a frequent basis.
• Create and monitor client development programs, including cross-selling initiatives.
• Manage development of client-specific presentations, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses as well as other client-facing materials.
• Develop all practice-related collateral for print and on the firm website.
• Assist in onboarding new laterals joining the practice group.
• Develop story placement ideas for media relations and identify speaker opportunities.
• Track completed matter details and manage submissions for directories, databases, and other publications.
• Identify opportunities for sponsorships and other brand-building opportunities and coordinate events.
