Job summary

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in business development or marketing at AmLaw 100 or professional services.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service mindset.
• Experience with Private Equity or Investment Banking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Senior Client Development Manager to develop and implement client development, marketing, and communications plans.
• Meet with practice group leaders on a frequent basis.
• Create and monitor client development programs, including cross-selling initiatives.
• Manage development of client-specific presentations, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses as well as other client-facing materials.
• Manage development of all practice-related collateral for general use in print and on firm website.
• Support senior manager to onboard new laterals joining the practice group.
• Develop story placement ideas for media relations team and identify speaker placement opportunities.
• Track completed matter details and manage practice submissions for directories, databases, and publications as needed.
• Identify opportunities for sponsorships and brand-building opportunities.
• Coordinate practice-related events and sponsorships.

Akerman is seeking a Client Development Manager-Litigation Practice Group. Reporting to the Sr. Client Development Manager, the Client Development Manager assists in implementing programs that support practice group business plans and enhance the business and reputation of the firm. The incumbent will successfully assist in managing multiple competing priorities within a matrix environment and establish solid working relationships with diverse personalities across multiple offices. Akerman has adopted a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Working with the Senior Client Development Manager to develop and implement client development, marketing, and communications plans.
• Meeting with practice group leaders on a frequent basis.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100 or professional services firm, in a business development or marketing role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels across the firm, and to work well in a team environment, collaborating effectively with team members with varying perspectives
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Experience working with Private Equity and Investment Banking industries preferred
