Job summary

IES Residential in Sugar Land, TX seeks a Litigation Attorney to manage litigation matters under the Litigation Manager. You will oversee outside counsel, develop strategies, and provide practical legal guidance to minimize exposure and support business objectives.

Responsibilities include handling all phases of litigation, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. JD required; 5+ years' litigation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, dispute resolution strategies, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and codes.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle and support all phases of litigation matters under the direction of the Litigation Manager.
• Manage assigned litigation matters and claims, coordinating deadlines and documentation.
• Work with outside counsel to facilitate representation and strategy.
• Investigate and evaluate legal claims, assess liability and risk, and advise on strategy.
• Provide practical legal guidance to business divisions regarding litigation risks and matters.
• Draft and coordinate responses to legal documents and inquiries.
