Job summary

IES is seeking a Litigation Attorney to manage the company’s litigation matters under the direction of the Litigation Manager. You will coordinate outside counsel, develop strategies, and provide practical legal guidance to minimize exposure and support business objectives.

You will handle discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation, while maintaining compliant processes, documents, and reporting, partnering with leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required and bar licensed in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in construction, commercial, corporate, auto, and/or employment litigation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; professional certifications preferred as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation from pre-litigation to settlement.
• Coordinate deadlines and gather documentation for assigned matters.
• Work with outside counsel to facilitate representation and strategy.
• Investigate claims, assess liability, and advise on strategy.
• Provide legal guidance to business units on disputes and risks.
• Draft and respond to legal documents and discovery requests.
• Maintain litigation files and provide status reports.
• Monitor compliance with laws and company policies.
