Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney in Houston to run their own docket across insurance defense, commercial, and fiduciary litigation. The role requires a JD, active bar admission, and 6+ years of civil litigation with trial experience.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active state bar admission.
• 6+ years of civil litigation experience with demonstrable trial and motion practice.
• Substantive experience in personal injury defense, commercial, and fiduciary litigation.
• Ability to manage large, complex caseloads and lead litigation teams.
• Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, written advocacy, and persuasive oral advocacy.
• Experience with e-discovery tools and case management software; technology-savvy in litigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of litigation from pleadings to appeals.
• Develop litigation strategy and advise clients on risk and resolution options.
• Draft and file complaints, motions, briefs, and appellate pleadings.
• Take and defend depositions, argue hearings, and try cases before juries and judges.
• Oversee discovery/e-discovery and coordinate with experts and vendors.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in ADR to resolve matters when appropriate.
• Supervise associates and staff, delegating work and ensuring quality control.
• Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to advance case objectives.
• Oversee budgets, billing, and matter management; track time per firm policy.
• Contribute to business development and client relations through meetings and publications.
