Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar license in good standing in New York.
• Bar license in NY required; NJ/PA/CT a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant litigation experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of New York Mortgage Foreclosure Law required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of contested foreclosures and defensive litigation.
• Prosecute commercial foreclosures from initiation to completion.
• Analyze loan files, title reports, and client documents.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Appear in court for various proceedings.
• Communicate with clients to ensure quality representation.
• Collaborate with support staff for document preparation and execution.
• Research and analyze complex client cases.
• Create matter budgets and seek fee approvals from clients.
