BCG Attorney Search is seeking an Associate Attorney for a Richmond, VA position specializing in both litigation and transactional mortgage-default work. The role allows in-office or hybrid arrangements and involves preparing documents, researching statutes, and analyzing judicial decisions.

Candidates must be VA barred with a JD and strong communication, research, and drafting skills; experience in real estate, foreclosure, title, or mortgage servicing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be VA barred or awaiting results.
• JD required with strong academic credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with banks, mortgage servicers, or real estate litigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legal issues and review strategies with Managing Attorney.
• Manage a caseload in line with firm, client, and court timelines.
• Ensure timely updates to client systems and case management systems.
• Prepare and review legal documents for compliance with laws and client directives.
• Research statutes and prepare foreclosure-related motions and pleadings.
• Handle real estate and title litigation matters.
• Draft complaints, motions, and other legal filings.
• Perform quality control reviews of documents and staff work.
• Participate in pre-trial motions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
