Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is assisting a Downtown St. Petersburg, FL-based litigation firm in seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing team.

This direct-hire opportunity targets an attorney with general liability or professional liability experience and offers ownership of meaningful case work and a path to a long-term legal career. You will manage all phases of litigation, draft motions and pleadings, represent clients in court, and develop strategies with senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in good standing.
• 2 to 8 years of attorney experience, with a preference for general liability and/or professional liability defense experience.
• Ability to manage litigation matters from intake through trial preparation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and case plans.
• Maintain deadlines, case files, and litigation calendars in a fast-paced legal environment.
