Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Litigation Associate to join our Tampa litigation team. The ideal candidate will defend complex liability matters and take ownership of cases in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

You will work with seasoned trial lawyers on a broad spectrum of civil defense matters including general liability, professional liability, transportation, and retail litigation. Florida Bar admission and 3–8 years of liability litigation experience are required.

Qualifications

• Florida admission to practice is required.
• 3–8 years of liability litigation experience.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and meet deadlines.
• Team oriented mindset with a commitment to client service.
• Docket includes liability cases from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations.
• Handle depositions, mediations, hearings and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in liability litigation matters from filing to resolution.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trials; participate in mediations and hearings.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Manage a diverse docket and communicate with clients and teams to meet deadlines.
