Mid-Level Labor Associate (Traditional Labor) - 4-6th Year
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a midlevel Labor & Employment Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Labor, Employment & Immigration practice. Opportunities are available in multiple offices across the West Coast and Alaska.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys advising employers on traditional labor matters and labor-management relations. The successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative team representing employers in sophisticated labor matters, while gaining significant client exposure and hands-on responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Advise and represent employers in a broad range of traditional labor matters, including:
- Union organizing campaigns
- Collective bargaining negotiations
- Grievance and arbitration proceedings
- Represent and assist clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, briefs, and other advocacy materials
- Counsel clients on labor relations, workplace compliance, and employment-related issues
- Collaborate with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex workplace matters
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through practical, business-focused legal advice
- Contribute to business development initiatives, client alerts, presentations, and thought leadership efforts
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility for admission
- 4-6 years of labor and employment experience
- Experience representing employers in traditional labor matters
- Prior experience handling matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting

Salary Range:
- Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco: $225,000 - $330,000
- Portland: $215,000 - $315,000
- Anchorage: $158,000 - $258,000
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
