Formación

• J.D. and active New York State Bar admission.
• 2–4 years of NY personal injury litigation experience.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in New York State Supreme Court.
• Strong legal research, writing, and motion practice skills.
• Working knowledge of CPLR and NY motor vehicle and premises liability law.
• Experience with serious injury threshold motions is a plus.
• Familiarity with Litify or a similar case management platform is helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Manage an active caseload of motor vehicle and premises liability matters
• Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, bills of particulars, and motions
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and non-party witnesses
• Appear at preliminary, compliance, pre-trial, and settlement conferences
• Draft and oppose summary judgment and discovery-related motions
• Evaluate damages, prepare settlement demands, and negotiate resolutions
• Maintain organized, trial-ready files and support trial counsel as needed
• Coordinate with paralegals, experts, and the firm’s closing team

Litigation Associate - New York, NY - ONSITE

A well-established New York plaintiff-side personal injury firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Manhattan office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take meaningful ownership of motor vehicle and premises liability matters while working directly with an experienced partner.

The associate will manage cases in suit from discovery through settlement, including taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, handling motion practice, and negotiating directly with insurance carriers and defense counsel.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an active caseload of motor vehicle and premises liability matters
• Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, bills of particulars, and motions

Compensation and Schedule:

• Base salary: Competitive base salary; depending on overall experience
• Location: Manhattan
• Schedule: 5x onsite required
