Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources seeks a part-time literacy intervention role focused on supporting students’ reading development within a school partnership. You will deliver targeted instruction, administer universal screenings, and use data to guide instruction and supports.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and coordinators to ensure equitable access to literacy resources, maintain records, and participate in program improvement activities while adhering to district requirements.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and TB clearance.
• Strong foundations in literacy instruction and evidence-based practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with DIBELS and structured literacy approaches preferred.
• Education/Youth Development background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports literacy development.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding student progress and program updates.
• Respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries and maintain professional communication.
• Promote equitable access to literacy support services and positive learning experiences.
• Collaborate with coordinators and school partners to align literacy programming with site goals.
