Job summary

Reading Partners in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Program Manager to lead AmeriCorps volunteers and tutors across five schools, delivering high-quality one-on-one and small-group instruction to maximize literacy outcomes.

The role reports to the Executive Director and requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with school partners to support over 1,000 students in the region. Hybrid on-site work in SF Bay Area.

Qualifications

• Experience managing volunteers and programs.
• Strong ability to use data to drive decisions.
• Proven collaboration with school partners and staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Reading Partners program across five schools in Oakland and San Lorenzo USD.
• Ensure fidelity to program quality standards and high-impact literacy outcomes.
• Supervise AmeriCorps Volunteers and tutors, coaching for performance.
• Analyze data and create action plans to improve student results.
• Maintain 90% enrollment and over 90% attendance targets when possible.
