Job summary

Formulatrix is seeking a hands-on Account Manager / Sales Representative to cover the Bay Area and Northern CA, with responsibility for the full sales cycle from cold calls to live demonstrations and final negotiations.

You will represent our premium liquid handling portfolio in San Francisco and the Pacific Northwest, traveling as needed and building strong client relationships through technical discussions and tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• Sales experience selling capital equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to pitch and present complex technical products to prospects.
• Technically savvy and able to grasp scientific instrumentation and its lab applications.
• Self-motivated and comfortable with outbound cold calling and problem-solving.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue by identifying new prospective customers, following up on leads, providing quotations, negotiating pricing, and closing deals.
• Deliver on-site product demonstrations of liquid handling solutions at customer sites and trade shows.
• Build relationships by proactively prospecting to understand client workflows and pain points.
• Coordinate with purchasing departments and ensure smooth post-sales handoffs to the support team.
• Maintain Formulatrix’s reputation by providing responsive, top-tier service.
