Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Core – Cooling Technical Support Specialist to assist customers and field technicians from our Buffalo, NY office. You will troubleshoot liquid cooling systems, manage technical support cases, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective resolutions.

This office-based role emphasizes remote diagnostics, documentation, and knowledge sharing, with opportunities for hands-on training and occasional field exposure. Travel is up to ~25% annually.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training in HVAC/R, electrical, mechanical, controls, electronics or related field.
• 3+ years experience in HVAC/R, field service, technical support or similar role.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience with CRM or service management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and field technicians by phone, email, and CRM.
• Create, document, and triage technical support cases.
• Verify entitlement and SLA coverage for support and parts.
• Troubleshoot liquid cooling and electro‑mechanical equipment using alarms, data, schematics.
• Escalate complex issues to Advanced Technical Support or Engineering.
• Coordinate with Dispatch for field service handoffs.
• Maintain accurate case notes and communications.
• Contribute to knowledge articles and service documentation.
• Participate in site visits and hands-on training.
• Stay updated on current and new liquid cooling products.
