Overview

Client is currently looking for an Application Support Analyst to work on our Production Services team. You will be joining a group focusing on the support and technical operations of our core trading systems. This role is critical to ensuring our proprietary trading systems are operational, reliable, and optimized for performance. You will work closely with developers and other technical teams to provide technical support, operational monitoring, and incident resolution in a fast-paced, business-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, operational monitoring, and incident resolution for core trading systems.


• Collaborate with developers and other technical teams to diagnose and fix issues; analyze application behavior beyond ticket resolution (will involve Python).


• Handle ticket types including syntax, runtime, and log-file analysis on Linux (Red Hat).


• Engage in projects outside of work to elevate technical skills (coding, automation, home lab, certifications).


• Participate in an on-call rotation and be reachable via mobile devices; coordinate with leads/team for incident response as needed.


• Occasionally work outside normal operating hours for deployments and automation checks, coordinated with the team.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in an application support, operations, systems administration, or related role.


• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, networks, and infrastructure layers.


• Experience with monitoring tools, log analysis, and incident management processes.


• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Understanding of operating systems (Windows and/or Linux).


• Foundational knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.


• Previous experience within a financial services or trading environment is a plus.


• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
