SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer, Linux Kernel (Starlink), in Redmond, WA. You will join the Platform Core team, building the lean Linux-based OS and writing high-performance drivers for the Starlink hardware and network fabric.

You will work with hardware teams to bring up OS/software on new platforms, and you’ll debug deep kernel, network, and userspace issues in a production environment. A strong C/C++ background and kernel knowledge are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering/math or 2+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on system programming experience in C or C++.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain a lean, high-reliability Linux-based OS for the supercomputer network fabric and Starlink hardware.
• Write (or rewrite) high-performance device drivers to extract maximum performance from hardware.
• Manage deployment, operation, and debugging of the platform in production.
• Root-cause and resolve anomalies to improve reliability.
• Develop and improve tools for observability and configuration management.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to design next-gen hardware and bring up OS/software on it.
