Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Lineworker Training Instructor to deliver high-quality, hands-on and classroom instruction for apprentices and journeyman lineworkers. You will ensure trainees gain technical skills, safety awareness, and professional standards for the electric utility industry.

Responsibilities include delivering programs, evaluating progress, maintaining records, and updating curriculum to reflect evolving industry standards. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with adult learners.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution systems and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training programs for apprentices and journeyman lineworkers in field operations and safety.
• Provide classroom and hands-on instruction on electrical theory, tools, and rigging.
• Evaluate trainee progress with tests, field observations, and feedback.
• Maintain training records, lesson plans, and curriculum updates.
