Job summary

K&A Engineering seeks an experienced Project Manager- Linework Trainer I to join the K&A Power Group in Binghamton, NY. You will deliver comprehensive lineworker training, supervise hands-on sessions, and ensure adherence to safety standards while mentoring students and apprentices.

Responsibilities include curriculum alignment with IBEW/NYS training outlines, OSHA-10/30 instruction, and collaboration with NYSEG and SUNY Broome.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of utility linework experience.
• Journey-Level Lineworker status with recognized apprenticeship.
• IBEW membership in good standing or ability to obtain.
• OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer status (OSHA 500/510 preferred).
• Current CPR/First Aid certification; pole-top and bucket rescue knowledge.
• Familiarity with NYSEG and Avangrid standards; safety-focused.
• Experience delivering training to entry-level or pre-apprentice populations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and field instruction in lineworker fundamentals.
• Lead hands-on training at NYSEG facilities and pole yard.
• Teach NYSEG construction standards and OSHA safety rules.
• Assess trainee progress and provide performance feedback.
• Prepare participants for internships and apprenticeships.
• Collaborate with SUNY Broome and NYSEG leadership.
