AMERICAN MUNICIPAL POWER, INC. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Manager of Member Training with a lineworker focus. The role supports a hybrid work environment and reports to the Senior Director of Member Training and Safety.

The position requires a qualified journeyman lineworker with 7 years of experience and 3 years in management or safety, plus a strong safety background and instructional skills. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; a two-year safety-related degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in safety programs with prior supervisory experience.
• Electric industry familiarity with OSHA rules and NFPA 70E is required.
• CPR/First Aid/Flagger instructor credentials or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 30%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and development programs at the Member Training Center.
• Train and advise member communities; provide safety training and manage special projects.
• Lead creation of content, lesson plans, curriculum and regional meetings.
• Coordinate safety inspections and develop Written Safety Plans.
• Stay current on OSHA/PERRP rules and APPA safety manual.
• Field-based distribution work (15kV or less); ability to perform hands-on tasks.
