Job summary

NorthStar Energy Solutions is seeking a driven Technical Trainer to join our Training team. You will deliver hands-on field and classroom instruction for apprentice and journey-level lineworkers, upholding training standards and mentoring trainees to grow in their craft.

You will collaborate with leadership on program improvements, stay current on OSHA/NESC practices, and travel to company job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver hands-on field and classroom instruction to trainees.
• Knowledge of OSHA and NESC safety regulations.
• Travel to support training across company sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and classroom training for apprentice and journey-level lineworkers.
• Prepare, update, and maintain training materials and curriculum.
• Identify training gaps and recommend innovative approaches.
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback to leadership.
• Stay current on industry best practices and regulations.
• Collaborate with leadership and safety teams on program improvement.
• Mentor trainees to foster a positive work environment.
• Uphold training standards and expectations.
• Travel to training locations as required.
• Advance through required trainings and certifications.
