Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Lineworker Training Instructor to deliver hands-on and classroom instruction for apprentices and journey-level lineworkers. You will ensure trainees develop technical skills, safety awareness and professional standards in the electric utility industry.

Responsibilities include teaching field methods, safety procedures and OSHA/NESC standards, evaluating progress, and maintaining curriculum and records. Travel to training sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to teach safety practices and industry standards to adult learners.
• Experience with classroom and hands-on instruction in electrical utility contexts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training to apprentices and journeymen.
• Instruct on safety requirements, OSHA/NESC standards and company policies.
• Demonstrate and supervise tools, climbing techniques and rigging in field and simulated environments.
• Evaluate trainee progress with tests and field observations; provide feedback.
