Job summary

UnityPoint Health - Meriter is seeking a Linen Technician for on-call support with a standard shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday and alternating weekend/holiday coverage as needed. The role involves receiving linen into the Meriter computer system and maintaining accurate inventory through purchasing and cycle counting.

You will assist in maintaining appropriate linen inventory levels, PAR distribution, SCRUB management, and soiled linen handling for hospital units and clinics.

• Excellent reading, verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer keyboard and basic accounting skills.
• Good concentration and problem-solving skills.
• Good organization and detail skills.
• Three months of computer experience with inventory control and receiving (preferred)

The Linen Technician receives all linen into the Meriter computer system. Using the computer system, this position maintains accurate linen inventory through purchasing and cycle counting. The Linen Distribution Technician assists in maintaining appropriate linen inventory levels, performs periodic automatic replenishment (PAR) distribution functions related to service requests, Scrub management, and soiled linen management for Hospital units and clinic locations.
