UnityPoint Health – Meriter in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces across patient rooms, corridors, and shared areas. You will perform cleaning, moving, stocking, waste removal, and floor care while following infection control guidelines.

The role emphasizes reliability, ability to read and follow labels and instructions, and good customer service. Previous healthcare cleaning experience is preferred; training is provided to ensure a high

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English and interpret measuring and hazard instructions on labels.
• Must be able to do basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including patient rooms and common spaces.
• Move supplies and exchange cubicles as needed.
• Handle waste and recycling removal.
• Perform floor care and surface cleaning.
• Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.

The Housekeeper position is responsible for a variety of duties such as; cleaning, moving, stocking, waste and recycling removal, floorcare, and exchanging cubicles. The housekeeper must have the ability to perform a wide variety of duties to maintain an environment that is aesthetically pleasing while maintaining maximum bacteriological control. Housekeepers must have the physical and mental ability to perform tasks related to the position.
