Job summary

UnityPoint Health Meriter seeks a part-time Housekeeper to perform cleaning, stocking, waste removal, floor care and cubicle exchanges in a healthcare environment. The role supports a hygienic, aesthetically pleasing setting and requires the ability to follow instructions and maintain safety standards.

The position is 0.6 FTE with a 24-hour work week, Monday to Friday 2pm–6pm, weekends and holidays rotations 7am–3:30pm. Compensation is $19.56 per hour, with non-benefit eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English and interpret measuring and hazard instructions on labels.
• Must be able to do basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient areas and common spaces.
• Move and stock supplies; manage waste and recycling.
• Perform floor care and cubicle exchanges as required.

The Housekeeper position is responsible for a variety of duties such as; cleaning, moving, stocking, waste and recycling removal, floorcare, and exchanging cubicles. The housekeeper must have the ability to perform a wide variety of duties to maintain an environment that is aesthetically pleasing while maintaining maximum bacteriological control. Housekeepers must have the physical and mental ability to perform tasks related to the position.
