Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Meriter is seeking a Housekeeper to perform cleaning, stock, waste removal, floor care, and cubicle exchanges in a hospital setting. The role requires the ability to read and write English, interpret hazard labels, and perform basic arithmetic. Experience in healthcare cleaning is preferred and customer service is valued.

The shift is Monday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:30 am with every other weekend and holiday rotation, supporting a safe and hygienic patient environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English and interpret measuring and hazard instructions on labels.
• Must be able to do basic arithmetic.
• One-year healthcare cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, moving, stocking, waste and recycling removal, floor care, and cubicle exchanges.
• Maintain a clean, aesthetically pleasing environment while ensuring maximum bacteriological control.

Shift: M-F 5p-1:30a with an every other weekend and holiday rotation 3p-11:30p.

The Housekeeper position is responsible for a variety of duties such as; cleaning, moving, stocking, waste and recycling removal, floorcare, and exchanging cubicles. The housekeeper must have the ability to perform a wide variety of duties to maintain an environment that is aesthetically pleasing while maintaining maximum bacteriological control. Housekeepers must have the physical and mental ability to perform tasks related to the position.
